His account has been posting news regarding the 20th anniversary of Sailor Moon, the new musical, and related merchandise. I run the official English account for Osano Fumio, with his full authorization. Moon Chase is pretty upset about this I guess, because here is what their above google-translated messages to Osabu mean: @osabu8, did you know that @sassypants678 & @missdreamsubs who are following you are cyber stalkers? @osabu8 she is forcing us to look only at her translations. if someone else translates, she slanders them. How can you trust @osabup_english? Let’s put aside Moon Chase’s personal problems with me for a moment. The fact of the matter is that Osabu hired me months ago to run his English account. If Moon Chase had a Japanese translator on their staff whose credentials Osabu could have verified, they could have easily also applied for the job. Nobody is saying that others can’t also translate his tweets; only that the OsabuP_English account is the only one officially authorized to do so. I’m totally embarrassed by our fandom right now. That anybody would actually bother the editor of Sailor Moon with their petty online vendetta BS grievances is just…wow. From a site that claims to deal with official representatives of the Sailor Moon franchise, you’d expect a little more professionalism.  I think if Osabu knew of the full scope of the pathetic in-fighting and drama that goes on between Sailor Moon fans, he’d be disappointed and ashamed for us.  Here’s a public reminder of why jealousy is ugly. And if you ever wanted to see why cyber stalking is wrong, well, here’s your sign. (As a purely anectodal side-note, I will mention that Twitter locked the osabup_english account after too many “wrong password” attempts. I’m sick right now and MarioKnight is out of town…I wonder who could have tried to break in?
